ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

Today in class we did the following:

• A  Course Information Sheet was distributed at the start of class with basic course info. More detailed information is available in the online SYLLABUS (PARTS I and II) at:

• The presentation contained this important VIDEO about our newly remodeled Collaborative Learning Space Classroom and how we will be  uisng it:
  
  
  
  
  
• Sutdents then worked on an "ICE BREAKER" activity of seeing how well -- as a group -- they could draw a world map on the WhiteBoard and sketch in areas of mountains, deserets, forest and tundra.
  
• Then after students talked about the SCIENCE QUOTE they liked best, we watched a VIDEO of scientists saying the actaul quotes while talking about science.

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

• Be sure you study the Syllabus- Part I,  and  Syllabus Part II:  Fr:equently Asked Questions (FAQ) -- We'll have a "Pop Quiz" on items in both of these in an upcomings class.
• The  CLASS NOTES   packet will not be available until next week.  Looke for an announcment in class and D2L.
• Office hours held by Dr H and the GTA's will begin next week.  Times will be posted on the class webpage under Teaching Team.
