In class today we did the following:

 1. Dr H gave a presentation on Topic #2: "On Global Change Science & Being a Scientist"

2. We had a mini-pop quiz about what's in the Syllabus and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) with students raising their hands and offering answers.  (see presentation)

3.  Students  then selected and shared their favorite quotes from those listed on this HANDOUT: On Science and Being a Scientist.  and on another handout distributed in class (it will be in the CLASS NOTES packet when it is ready next week).

4.  We then watched a VIDEO of the scientists themselves talking about science:

5.  Lastly, students worked on Part A of an In-Class Activity (non-graded) on  CARTOONS & QUOTES ABOUT & BY SCIENTISTS
