ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  Dr. H talked about "Global Change in the News"

2.  Dr H gave a presentation on Topic #7  The Radiation Laws  <== one of the most important topics of the semester!!!

During the lecture, students  wrote answers to a few lecture "self test" questions on small cards which were collected at the end as an attendance check.  Of those that got all the questions right, 10 will be randomly selected for a mini-prize to be awarded at the next class.

3.  For our  "Sustainability Segment" we watched the end of Chapter 5  to complete the PBS NOVA show:  Saved by the Sun

 (2)  Questions?  Need Help?  Want to discuss Global Change issues?  Come to our OFFICE HOURS – we are LONELY!    They are held every day of the week (except Friday for this class – see the TEACHING TEAM section of the webpage for when and where.

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• Review  Class Notes pp 31-34 very carefully -- we'll go over the Class Concepts Self Test on p 35 at the start of class next Tuesday.
• Review the presentation above on Topic #7 , the Radiation Laws Presentation .  NOTE:  this was one of the most important lectures this semester for understanding nearly every global change issue -- and there will be several questions on TEST #2 and the midterm exam that relate to the radiation laws.
