ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  We began with the  "Sustainability Segment"  and watched the next segment of the PBS NOVA show:  Saved by the Sun .  
     
  (you can now view it again yourself  in D2L under the VIDEOS link.-- We watched the 10 minute section that discussed solar
         energy in Germany.).

2. Dr H then gave a lecure on Applying the Radiation Laws to wrap up this topic:

We didn't have time to do the last few slides justice (especially in the 1:00 pm class), so they will be addressed again in class on Wednesday.

   During the lecture, we had some clicker questions and a whimsical look at the vibration/rotation behavior of one of the Greenhouse Gases:  nitrous oxide (N2O) by viewing an entry of the "Dance Your PhD Contest.  Watch it again here:
