ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. The class took TEST #2 -- both individual (20 pts) and Group (5 pts) parts. 

2.  The class then worked on Question #10 of the Test, which  involved plotting your own skeleton plot by hand. This was the first part of a multi-part class activity that will complete most of the work for your next Individual Assignment (I-3) -- which will be posted later this week.    Dr H's presentation explains how to do the activity:

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

• •Class attendance over the NEXT 2 Classes (Thursday Oct 8th and Tuesday Oct 13)  is CRITICAL !! These classes will be needed to complete your I-3 Individual Assignment.  If you miss one of these classes it will have to be made up.
  
• ASSIGNMENT I-2 – we still have several undreadable Dropbox submissions!! We will need some of you to re-submit in PDF format -- you will be informed of this by email over the next couple of days.
  

• •The MIDTERM EXAM is NEXT week on Thursday Oct 15th  A MIDTERM STUDY GUIDE will be posted and we may have a pre-exam help session.  More details in class on Thursday.
   

• •TA & DR H OFFICE HOURS:   Click to see WHERE they are held and WHEN they are held. Please visit us!  We are lonely!

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• Contact Dr. H IMMEDIATELY  by email about missing Test #2 !!!    You will have to make it up right away. 

• See Dr. H's  presentation above on how to do a skeleton plot by hand, pattern match with others in your group, and construct a site composite in order to crossdate.

• You will have to get caught up on the Skeleton Plotting part of the class activity as soon as possible.   Come early to class on Thursday Oct 8th to do so -- or visit one of the TA's office hours -- after FIRST telling the TA you want to make up what you missed (the TA needs advance warning in order to have the proper materials available for you to do your skeleton plot.)
