THE LINKING-TO LIFE PART B FILM & VIDEO REVIEWS are due next TUESDAY OCT 22nd
Post them on the DISCUSSION BOARD (NOT in the Dropbox).

1.    Now that the Midterm Exam is over . . .   In class next week we will  finish up the G-4 Bristlecone Pine Assignment, start a New Topic,

and begin viewing a brand new film: "Too Hot Not To Handle"     (an HBO film) Heat waves. Melting glaciers. Rising sea levels. Catastrophic storms. Migrating viruses. Population displacement. Over the past 100 years, the mass consumption of fossil fuels, especially in America, has contributed to a dangerous warming of the earth that has adversely impacted the way we live. The cautionary documentary TOO HOT NOT TO HANDLE offers a guide to the effects of global warming in the United States.

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• You missed the MIDTERM EXAM.  Contact Dr H about your absence immediately by email katie@LTRR.arizona.edu .  I must hear from you no later than noon Friday Oct 18th if you want me to consider the possibility of a make-up exam.
  
  
• If you also missed  the first day of the G-4 Group Assignment last Tuesday, review the G-4 presentation linked above and watch the film on Bristlecone Pine: "Living History" available in D2L under Videos > "Films & Videos shown in Class. "  Then visit the  The G-4 Bristlecone Pine Resource Page complete as much of the TABLE on p 126 in CLASS NOTES as you can, by viewing the SKELETON PLOTS and INDICES PLOTS that are linked to the Resource Page.   Come to class NEXT Tuesday with your Class Notes and the Table on P 126 filled out so you are ready for the next part of the G-4 Assignment.
