In class today we did the following:
1. Dr. H then gave a presentation on Topic #10 The Earth's Energy Balance. This is a key TOPIC OF THE SEMESTER for understanding global change processes. :

2. Students present got BONUS POINT by writing down their thoughts on the Sustainability Segment video: "The Story of Stuff" (see following)
3. SUSTAINABILITY SEGMENTS:
- We watched a video about the UA's entry in to the SOLAR DECATHLON, a competition to design, build, and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered house: http://www.solardecathlon.org/ Here's the: UA video
- It was noted that the 350.org group is sponsoring an International Day of Climate Action this Saturday, Oct 24th.

- Lastly, we watched a video on "THE STORY OF STUFF" and students wrote down their thoughts/opinions about it on the back of the index-card. You can watch it again under VIDEOs in D2L. We didn't have time to hold a class discussion, but will do so on Thursday.
