ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. Students turned in their I-4 Bristlecone Pine Tree-Ring Reports (due today)

2. Dr H gave a presentation on: 

       Topic #15 Paleoclimate & Short Term Climatic Variability (cont.) &
                      Topic #16 Volcanism & Natural Climatic Forcing (The Climatic Effects of Explosive Volcanism)

3.  The class watched a short segment of The Methuselah Tree video (will be shown in its entirety as a Thinking Deeply opportunity next week)

4.  We didn't have time to work on the G-6 Volcanism & Climate Activity (on pp 109-110 in CLASS NOTES) so will do that before or after Test #3 on Thursday.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

1. Test #3 will take place at our next class, Thursday Nov 2nd   The Top Ten list is now posted in D2L under Study Guides. 

==> THERE WILL BE A PRECEPTOR "STUDY SESSION" for Test #3 on Wed Nov 1 @ 5:30 pm in ILC 151

IMPORTANT NOTE: These study sessions are NOT "Review Sessions" in which the material is re-taught or explained, but STUDY SESSIONS during which students and preceptors study together by going through the "Top 10."  The Preceptor Study Session will be effective ONLY if you come prepared after having done some preliminary studying.   You should bring the following items with you:

(a) a copy of the Top 10 Study Guide & your CLASS NOTES
(b) specific items marked on the Top 10 that you don't understand
(c) specific questions about the material that you need clarified and have written out

2. The I-2 Sun Safety Re-do’s are DUE Wed Nov 1 by midnight. Email them directly to Adam: csank@email.arizona.edu
