IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. Dr. H gave a lecture presentation on Topic #12 How Climate Works:

In the lecture, we watched some neat animations of global maps of the components of the energy balance:

In the lecture Dr H showed a short clip of a scientist
 demonstrating "the dishpan experiment"

 2. We watched the next segment of

"Too Hot Not To Handle"     (a 2006 HBO Documentary) The video is posted in D2L (under videos shown in class)  We watched the segments on "Sea Level Rise" and Storm Surge"

3.  Then Dr H gave a brief overview of the next phase of the Linking-to-Life Project - Part C   It is now posted in D2L under ASSIGNMENTS

4.  Students then go into groups to finish up Assignment G-5  Applying the Energy Balance Terms  

5.  Lastly, there was a Group Bonus Point Challenge Opportunity  based on the feedback loop questions on p 65 in Class Notes
