ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. Dr H made a few announcements and reminded everyone about the G-4 Tree-Ring Wood Kit Lab Activity which must be completed no later than next Wednesday Nov 12tth.  (see ANNOUNCEMENTS below)

2.  Then a short video was shown as background to the Linking-to-Life Assignment:

3. Then Dr H gave a brief overview of the LINKING TO LIFE Assignment.   See the slides in the Topic #11 presentation linked below.  Complete details will be posted in D2L soon.

 

4.  Dr H  wrapped up Topic #11 on Natural Climatic Forcing with a presentation on Volcanic Forcing:

5. Groups then got started on  G-5 Assignment: Volcanism & Climate. There wasn't enough time to finish, so time will be given for this in class next week.

    IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• WATCH the CHRIS JORDAN video posted above and review Dr H's overview slides in the presentation on the LINKING-TO-LIFE Assignment

• Review the rest of the presentation on  Topic #11- Part II:  Volcanic Forcing. 

• Work on the G-5 Volcanism & Climate group assignment on your own after viewing the presentation linked above.   G-5 is duplicated on pp 76 -77 in Class Notes .  Come to class next week with as much completed as you can so you can re-join your group and finish the group form with them.
