ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

 1. We finished the G-6 DIRE PREDICTIONS PRESENTATIONS -- GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

2.  Then, to give us some "hope"for the future, we watched the closing segment of the amazingly beautiful film   HOME by Yann Arthus-Bertrand Watch the entire film online in and comment on it in D2L for your last BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITY   (details in this week's D2L Checklist)

3.  Next, to introduce the "CLIMATEGATE" topics we watched a COMEDY CENTRAL news spoof from Colbert Nation titled: "Something Is Melting in Denmark"

4.  The Colbert video was followed by a SKIT by TA's Adam & Rebecca who revealed the real story behind the hacked emails.  Their script will be posted in D2L later if you want to review it so that YOU can respond properly as well.

5.  Sadly, by this time we ran out of time to do the Global Warming Debate in class.  But those  in class signed in to get their 5 pts for being present and the I-4 papers were turned in for grading. (NOTE:   If you did not get your I-4 paper in today,  see FAQ #20

6.  Dr H closed with some final remarks.

•  Don't forget to do your ONLINE COURSE EVALUATIONS !!!    Please give us your thoughtful feedback to improve the class !

• DON’T FORGET YOUR LAST RQ:  RQ-9 is due anytime before the  FINAL EXAM on Tue Dec 15th.   

                              è SELF TEST &  RQ-9 will be posted on WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
  

• The FINAL EXAM STUDY GUIDE (with practice questions & answers) will be posted in D2L on
   Thur Dec 10th.    The FINAL EXAM REVIEW SESSION is:  MONDAY Dec 14 5:00- 6:00 pm in ILC 150
           (Dr H & the TA’s will hold office hours until the Final Exam.)
  

• Your GC SAVVY PROJECTS are in the process of being graded   & your grade w/ feedback will appear eventually in D2L.
   

   GRADEBOOK UPDATES will take place periodically over the next week as we finish up our grading.  (Keep an eye on the D2L home page for info on the latest GRADEBOOK updates.)

   

  ALSO:  Please check your gradebooks! If you think a grade is incorrect or has not been recorded for an assignment or test that you have completed, email the TA who graded it. 

•  The FINAL EXAM is TUESDAY Dec 15th :
                   Lec 40 & 57:   11:00 am - 1:00 pm in ILC 140
                   Lec 41 & 58:    2:00 – 4:00 pm in ILC 140
                      (Sorry, no early final exams given)
