ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  We watched a short segment of NBC Dateline on SUV and passenger car crashes

     Here's a link to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety  (IIHS) featured in the video. -- Includes "crashworthiness" crash test ratings for vehicles and lots of other useful information about car safety.

 

2. Dr. H gave a presentation on Topic #6  The Nature of Matter

      Topic #6 The Nature of Matter  (oops -- some figures aren't coming thru -- I will repair later)

Some of the concepts about matter in the presentation were illustrated via a software package called Molecular Dynamics.

3.  Those in class earned 2 INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATION POINTS by doing a hands-on learning activity to review atomic structure and the Periodic Table:

4.  In the remaining time, students finished up the G-2 activity from the last class.
