HOW TO CONVERT MS WORD DOCUMENTS TO PDF ON MAC OSX

·    With your word file open, click File then Print.

·    In the Print window, click the PDF button at the bottom-left then select the “Save as PDF…” option.

·     Choose the location, rename the PDF file, then click Save.

HOW TO CONVERT MS WORD DOCUMENTS TO PDF ON A WINDOWS PC

      MS Word 2010

  • Click the File tab.
  • Click Save As.
  • In the File Name box, enter a name for the file, if you haven't already.
  • In the Save as type list, click PDF (*.pdf).
  • Click Save.

      MS Word 2007

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button, point to the arrow next to Save As, and then click PDF
  • In the File Name list, type or select a name for the document.
  • In the Save as type list, click PDF.
  • Click Save.

For earlier versions of Word or other ty[es of files, we suggest you go to the ILC or a campus Computer Lab and open your file in a newer version of MS Word installed on the computer.  Then follow the directions above to save it as a PDF.  You can also try one of the free PDF converters available online, such as: http://www.freepdfconvert.com/


HOW TO CONVERT OPEN OFFICE DOCUMENTS TO PDF:

·         Click the Export Directly as PDF icon then to export the entire document using your default PDF settings.

·         When asked, enter the file name and location for the PDF file.
