GRADING RUBRIC FOR LTL PART C PROJECT SLIDE
(worth 70 pts)

Required Items for the Project Slide + Documentation

  • Name & Group # ( -5 pts if not included on slide)

  • Research Question & how well it is stated -  state the Question you posed for your investigation of one of the project categories. (5 pts)

  • Connection to Global Change -  indicate how your category and/or question relate to one or more of the topics of our course.  (10 pts)

    • List the topics by name and # make it clear how the topic(s) connect(s) to your question specifically. 

    • Include some words on the slide that explain or illustrate the connection

    • Include a diagram or figure from class that shows the link between your project question/activity and the class topic(s)

  • What You Did & How You Did it   (20 pts) in a phrase, diagram, table, or graphic:

    •  Illustrate what you did, i.e. what data or information you looked at, collected, etc.

    • Where or how you got your information (key source, webpage, collected yourself, etc.) 

    • Where possible, include the data  or information (or a summary of it in a table, bullet phrases, etc.)

    •  Depending on the nature of your project, indicate what you DID to draw your conclusion in a phrase or statement (and/or explain this in more detail in the Documentation (see below)

  • Conclusion / Bottom Line Statement &    (10 pts)  State your conclusion or "Bottom Line" in a sentence or phrase that states what you found or what you decided about the question you posed

  • Overall Quality of Slide & Effort Expended (5 pts)

  • Documentation (20 pts) Here's where you will include the sources for your information (e.g., articles, webpage URL's from which, you obtained information, etc.).   Here also you can explain more about what you did to collect your information or your own data.
