***VIEWING STREAMING VIDEO ON A PERSONAL COMPUTER*** Before Starting: 1. Please make sure you are NOT using a wireless network. Access is NOT reliable through a wireless connection. 2. A fast internet connection is needed when viewing a film OFF-CAMPUS. 3.0mb/sec or faster is recommended. Check the speed of your internet connection at: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ 3. Turn off as many other programs as possible. 4. Pop-up blockers must be disabled or allowed for the vf1.library.arizona.edu or 150.135.239.71 websites 5. Have the latest version of Java installed and enabled. A free download of Java is available at: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Accessing The Video: 1. Make sure you are only clicking the video link ONCE, and then let the viewer load (this will take between 5-15 seconds). Clicking multiple times may freeze the system. 2. If a security certificate pop-up opens, please respond YES by selecting 'Accept' or 'Run'. The viewer WILL NOT play otherwise. Additional Help: 1. Try using Mozilla's Firefox INSTEAD of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (A free download of Firefox is available at: http://www.mozilla.com.) 2. The following ports must be open on any software or hardware firewalls between the viewing computer and our server: 80, 4902 (UDP), 4903 (TCP), 4904 (TCP), 4905 (TCP).
