ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.   Dr H explained that your "clicker percentage" is now posted in D2L and explained how your % earned of the 10 possible Clicker Participation Points would be added in at thend of the semester-see D2L for details.  If you see % and you've been clicking, you haven't properly registered your clicker yet for OUR class.  Directions are in D2L.  See:

2.  Dr H then gave a lecture to wrap up Topic #5 with a brief start on some topics related to Atmospheric Structure & Composition (Topic #6), which we will cover completely in Thursday's class:

   During the lecture, we had some clicker questions and a whimsical look at the vibration/rotation behavior of one of the Greenhouse Gases:  nitrous oxide (N2O) by viewing an entry of the "Dance Your PhD Contest.  Watch it again here:

3.  During class, students discussed a "Thinking More Deeply" question in their groups (see the posted presentation)

  4.  Lastly, Test #1 was returned and groups who needed to, were given time to finish up the G-1 Group Assignment..
