In class today we did the following:
1. Dr H gave an overview of the:
PLAN FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTERThe GOAL for the rest of the semester is to make the course content more relevant to YOUR life – now and in the future. Four “fun” assignments have been developed to do this. The assignments for the rest of the semester are now all available on the updated Assignment Page in WebCT.

P-2 Linking-to-Life “Project” (10 pts)2. Dr H gave a presentation that included:
(a) Some commentary on the upcoming election and a link to an article with info on the Presidential Candidates' views on Climate Change.
(b) Topic #13 on Ocean Circulation (with a recap of key items on Atmospheric Circulation)
3. The class watched a few segments of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" to critique its presentation of the Thermohaline Circulation as a cause for an abrupt climatic shift (in a few days).
4. The class watched part of a video on El Niño from the Science show NOVA.

5. The MIDTERM EXAMS were returned.
(NOTE: The completion of the G-4 activity was delayed until Thursday's class.)
1. The P-1 REPORT was DUE IN CLASS TODAY
Papers will be accepted until 5:00 pm today if delivered to Dr H's office in the Tree-Ring Lab/West Stadium.
