ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

 1.  Dr H gave the a presentation on Topic #17 The IPCC pt 1:  About the IPCC, Findings & Impacts

2.  At the end of the presentation, Dr H showed some videos from the http://tcktcktck.org/  website.  (see the presentation for the links).  This website is "counting down" to the Dec 7th start of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark   For more on that conference, visit:  http://en.cop15.dk/

 

3.  Then GROUP 21 gave their G-6 Presentation to get us started on these!  The rest of the groups will continue with these next week!

4.  We then watched more of the "Kilowatt Ours" video (it's posted in D2L).  There will be a question based on this film on the Final Exam!

•  The EARLY DUE DATE for the GC Savvy Consumer is tonight at 11:59 pm -- before midnight -- in the D2l Dropbox.
  Note: One (1) powerpoint slide only for this project -- if you have more info, put it in the write-up.

• G-6 DIRE PREDICTIONS PRESENTATIONS will continue next week: An email will go out to your G-6 Leaders re: pre-class set-up prior to the day your group presents – look for it. 
  The group presentation dates are listed here each class:      Lec 40 +57 (Tu & Th 12:30 -1:45p pm)            Lec 41+58 (Tu & Th 3:30 -4:45 pm)

• In the Kilowatt Ours film, people on the street were asked if they knew where their electricity comes from. Do YOU?  After watching the film, students can get  1 bonus point by researching the source of our Tucson electric power and reporting back with this information in class on the Tuesday Dec 2nd.
